Copy export file to new file useing extended rules.

I'm looking for a way to print the export file, after playing with
the print map a bit, I found out that you can't export a map and
print the map at the same time. SO I decided to try write some code
to write the information to a file and then run a batch command to
print that file.
Is there an easy way to grab information that will be sent to the
export file and copy it to a temperary file?
Right now I've started to build a file line by line but I don't want
to take all the time to do that if I don't have to.
