It could be that I'm not wise to the ways of the world, but what confuses
me most is what kind of advantage greater use of Microsoft's BCF standards
could provide them. I expect that these new BCF standards will remain
free for use without royalty fees, just as is ebXML. I also can't imagine
Microsoft using their embrace-and-extend approach to help lock-in users to
a single eBusiness solution with them spearheading standards development
from the get-go. What are your thoughts on their motivation with this?
Ultimately, I wonder how this will affect others' support for ebXML stuff.
