Systems Analyst in New Haven, CT.

Basic Function:
Responsible for development and support of XML, ANSI X.12, and
EDIFACT EDI Trading Partners and technical EDI dataset support on
the AS/400.
A strong working knowledge of the AS/400 architecture, OS/400
operating system and proven experience in RPG III, RPG IV, CL, SQL,
Open Query and Query/400 is required.
Knowledge of J.D. Edwards World Software and EXTOL EDI Translator
supporting XML, ANSI, and EDIFACT standards required.
Use advanced features of EXTOL to implement new Trading Partners and
streamline legacy Trading Partners.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates excellent communication skills both orally and written
with internal customer service and Trading Partner personnel.

Possess a technical and application understanding of J.D. Edwards
World software with focus on

Sales Order Management, Purchasing, Advanced Pricing, and
Manufacturing.

Possess the ability to quickly design solutions within an EDI
software environment and train EDI system users.

Automate and streamline EDI operations and applications

Work in a Team environment with focus on producing results quickly.

Qualifications:
Four / Five years + experience in a fast paced AS/400 RPG technical
developer's role.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Excellent programming and systems analytical skills.

Excellent OS/400 skills

Excellent understanding of the many different communication options
such as FTP, Direct Connect, Value Added Network, Encryption, etc.
Along with the ability to implement and trouble shoot these options.

Experienced with a JD Edwards, XML, ANSI, & EDIFACT EDI datasets
810, 820, 821, 824, 830, 846, 850, 856, 857, 855, 860, 997, DELFOR,
DESADV, APERAK & INVOIC is a requirement.

Advanced EXTOL EDI training / knowledge is mandatory

Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Previous application experience with J.D. Edwards World Software is
a requirement.
