We are using Win 2K, but I want all of this to be triggered by our Gentran
process. I will check out the Ipswitch website conerning the article you
referenced.

thanks for the information.

Bonnie:

What is your OS that WS_FTP is on?

If it is Win 2k, then you cannot automate
WS_FTP through using the Task Manager with
a batch file that calls an ftp script file.
You can search Ipswitch's Web site with
the terms Windows 2000 to see the exact
article.

Subject: [EDI-L] WS-FTP via Gentran for Windows

Good Morning,

This may be a simple question for someone, but I haven't done this before so
it isn't simple to me, and I am looking for some direction.

Does anyone have any experience setting up a SSL/FTP connection using
WS-FTP? We are running an older version of WS-FTP (7.02) and I have
manually set up the connection and everything works great in both
directions, but I want to automate it. We are running Gentran for Windows
and I want to use the Process Control function to execute the connection,
but I'm having problems trying to get it automated...I currently have
several ftp connections that are just simple ftp connections and it works
fine, but I am doing something wrong when I try and get this set up. I get
messages indicating that I don't have an SSL connection.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on this? I have read the "help" info
with WS-FTP and it really isn't very helpful.

Thanks for your time,

Bonnie Boucher
