Re: SLN segment on 850

I see the PO1-single SLN quite often, but telecom local ordering 850s are
rather different from supply chain docs. They are not too difficult to deal
with since telcos publish extensive business rule documentation. In cases
where the partner has explicitly defined the SLN loop as only occurring once
per PO1, I treat the data as PO1 level data. If the partner is vague about
the possibility of more than one, I create a child record/node/table to
handle it as if it will repeat.
I'm not at all sure that helps, but that's what I see in my industry.

Subject: [EDI-L] SLN segment on 850
I just want to do an informal survey, since I am having a problem with a
particular company and their interpretation of the 850 specifications.
Has anyone seen a case where the incoming PO (850) contains a single SLN
segment for a product (PO1) line?
In the past, I have seen a detail line (PO1) followed by multiple SLN
segments.
In this case, I have a detail line (PO1) followed by a single SLN.
If yes, from whom?
thanks
