Our translator checks syntax and rejects documents (inbound and outbound) unless
we specifically override it. Which we have had to do in both directions because
the customer required us to comply to their guidelines and not to the standards.

The default should be to always check the syntax but the tool has to allow you
to override specific violations since not everyone plays by the rules.

Dan,

We have a trading partner that REQUIRES that we generate and transmit
standards violating documents. With billions in sales per year, I just
wouldn't be able to bring myself to tell them I will not do things
however they require them.

Would that be a good enough reason for you?
