Hi,
I agree that you should probably be sending the files
right on through your Gentran software and have the back end
application look for errors.. which it could return to Gentran
in a flat file. If your bosses insist that you do the checking
and you have EC workbench you could put a data manager before
the translator to look for errors with a unix script. I have a
couple of those that will send emails to the partners edi contact
asking them to please fix their data. This may not be the best
solution. Unix scripting is like duct tape, sometimes you can
try to fix everything with it. Good Luck. TS
