Gentran system resource

Subject: Gentran system resource
I run Win2000 for Gentran 5.3.1. Up until last year, every time
it would dial out it would lose my network connection and I'd have to
reboot. Network connection is not the issue. Upgraded the PC
somewhat, put more memory in, (1048576 bytes extended memory,
941056 XMS memory. Not sure of the processor- Dell Optiplex GS1).
This cured the problem to the extent that I would get the error
message about the network drive, but could then click on 'C:\" and
then click on the network drive to display it again. Due to running
some windows updates today from Mcrsft, I now have to re-boot again
every time I have a dialup session. Someone else must have had this
problem at some time. Sterling Commerce does not acknowledge
ownership of the problem, but I think either the software is a pig,
or it's tromping on some system memory location(s) somewhere. Maybe a
config.sys or other area where settings need to change? Anyone ever
experience this?

Thanks,

Bob
