Let me disagree.

I have my current job because of an out-of-the-office message I received
posting to this board's predecessor.

I recognized the domain as a company near my home, and responded to the
autoresponder message. Later I got the job.

Lemons yield lemonade.

Now, our network engineer has turned off our autoresponder to outside
domains. He says it prevents spammers from verifying my email address. I
still get spam.

Subject: EDI Programmer/Analyst - Gentran(GIS) - IN

We are currently recruiting for an EDI Programmer/Analysts in the Indianapolis
area.
Responsibilities include:
§ Develops/maintains Application Interface Programs (API's) to pass EDI data
between Sterling Gentran & QAD's MFG/PRO V8.5.f & EB2.
§ Perform analysis of specific EDI needs; then design, develop, test, and deploy
professional solutions.
§ Implementation of EDI transactions developed in accordance with established
standards on application design, file structures, coding practices, quality
assurance, documentation, etc.
§ Implements and maintains EDI trading partners and ANSI/X12 and EDIFACT
standard documents while working with internal customer demands and interface
applications within ASW.
§ Works closely with user departments in system and programmer design of new
applications or integration of EDI into existing applications.
§ Schedules/Performs training of groups and/or individuals on the general use
and utilization of the systems and hardware associated with electronic commerce.
§ Monitors transactions and resolves all error messages and/or lost
transactions.
§ Develops proposals for process improvements, programming tools and standards,
applications, and programming languages.

Qualified candidate requirements:
§ Applicants must have at least a 4 year degree in computer science or related
field.
§ Minimum 5 years Progress V8 CHUI development in UNIX (preferably HP-UX V10/11)
OS environment
§ Minimum 5 years experience in Progress development of QAD's MFG/PRO V8 ERP
solution
§ Knowledge of EDI translators such as Sterling GIS or other market leading
products
§ Minimum 2 years' experience in EDI/EC in a support environment

Salary Range: $65-75K depending on experience
No relocation or sponsorship authorized for this position.
