Just as information, X12 Standards are accredited by ANSI. The
developing and maintaining body is X12 performed by its members. The X12
Standards were primarily developed by American's, but are used elsewhere.
The EDIFACT Standards are developed by committees reporting through the
United Nations. These are also used domestically and internationally.
