RE: Automated File Transfer Application

Art and John,
Thank you for taking the time to suggest Softshare ECS/Delta. I'm
looking at the web site now. JR

Jim,
Softshare's ECS 4.0 supports file transfer using FTP, SMTP, POP3, AS1,
AS2, AS3, and Windows file system. It includes certificate management,
and uses a SQL Server database. ECS is fully integrated with Delta 4.0,
Softshare's excellent mapping and translating system, and is backed up
by Softshare's great customer support. Softshare products run on
Windows NT or better, and all tools have GUI interfaces.
PaperPak is a customer of Softshare. For more information, please
reference their web site: www.softshare.com or call their sales
department at (800) 346-6703.

Subject: [EDI-L] Automated File Transfer Application
I'm looking for a commercial product for file transfer automation that
will run on a PC platform.
Currently I'm using Soft Tree Technologies' 24X7 as a scheduler together
with Serenget System's RoboFTP scripts (because RoboFTP supports
encryption/decryption).
I'm looking for a single application that not only supports encryption,
but is database-driven (the file transfer database would store a matrix
of file transfer configuration parameters, and could be updated.) A GUI
maintenance application is preferred for adds; deletes; changes.
In lieu of a commercial product, we're testing a home-grown VB script
application using an SQL database, but don't want to 'recreate the
wheel'.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Jim
