Michael,

You asked for, and I quote:

"Can someone please email me the EDI maps for 7-Eleven?"

Given the number of our colleagues on this board that have seen their jobs
moved offshore, or who have been down-sized, right-sized,
butt-tossed-out-the-door-sized in the last couple of years you, as a
self-professed long-time participant in this board and an EDI Professional
of obvious pedigree will appreciate that an apparent request to give away
the store would meet with at least some resistance. I'm an EDI guy, not a
Psychic.

John

John,

I have been on this list for many years and have also as EDI
professional given tips and advice and posted enough to this group. I
have worked in many
EDI environments on the vendor, customer, and EDI provider side.

I am a member of the Southern California Ecommerce Board and a
frequenter at the UCC conventions. So, I know what it's like when you
say " EDI compliance does not come free.".

Anyway, I am not looking for an already translated map for a specific
EDI translator. I am looking for an Implementation Guide. I already made
a request for 7-11 to send me one, and just wanted to get ahead start on
implementation.

People have exchanged EDI specs on this list before. I was not aware
that it's unethical or is not allowed to exchange EDI maps on EDI-L.
This is not the first time. Just because I work for an EDI provider and
I am not self employed does not mean that now I have less privileges on
this list.
