940 mapping issue

Subject: 940 mapping issue
I have a 940 map that, when data is added to the mailbox, creates
seperate 940's for each header record. However, the order # on each
is the the order # of the first record. The PO is different, but the
order # is't. Also, I get all the detail lines from each 940 I am
adding to the mailbox in each 940. So, in essence, if I have 6/940's
each with 1 detail line, I will get 6/940's w/6 detail lines. We
added a multi-logical over the physicals, but I still think there
aren't enough keys.

Here is the multi-logical file (mocked):

R Format 1 PFILE(File1)
K Order #

R Format2 PFILE(File2)
K Order #
K Line Number

I've tried to explain that there shouldbe a sequence # here as well,
and that the translator needs a few more keys for the data. I am
told that these keys should be sufficient. Am I going the wrong
way? The data in the keys is being populated properly, so it has to
be the way the translator is grabbing the data, which really makesme
believe that we need more keys.................
Your thoughts...............
