Terry,

Some inventory control programs offer a way for the individual
vendors to update the available price for their specific items via
the 832. To some of the larger buyers out there that carry 100s of
thousands of individually marked items, this is the only realistic
way to do business or they would have to have a small army of people
just managing the price changes of products. It also offers a way to
update a products status, like a specific product has been
discontinued with a new product has been recommended in it's place.
Some of these packages can get very detailed.
