This thread reminds me of the argument Ken Mattingly had with the engineer
in the movie, "Apollo 13", in that one side is arguing what they need, and
the other side is arguing that there isn't enough to fill the need.

No one is going to get killed (I think) here, but we are going to get
nowhere on solving it because the people with the resources aren't in on the
conversation.
