Subject: Secure FTP question
Does anyone from this group use secure FTP (ftp-tls) with Advantis?
I'm having problem incorporating ftp-tls command into shell unix script. I
created certificate file and certificate require to submit password for
*.PEM file as a first step to create secure connection. After that I can
use regular FTP commands and this is not a problem.
Is there any option that allows to provide password as an argument on the
command line?
My command line looks like line below:
/usr/local/bin/ftp-tls -z cert=certificate.pem -z certsok -z private
ieftpint2.services.ibm.com
After this line is executed host sends message and request:
Connected to ieftpint2.services.ibm.com.
220 ieftpint2 IE-FTP server (v4r3m0.f) ready on system USA.
234 AUTH command accepted - proceed with Negotiation.
Enter PEM pass phrase:
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Vladimir
