Here's a copy of their Press Release that I received via email:

November 01, 2004

Dear MARY,

We have exciting news to share with you. On October 13, 2004, Francisco
Partners, the majority shareholder of Global eXchange Services (GXS),
signed a definitive agreement to acquire the IBM Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) services business which will be in a company called G
International. Francisco Partners expects to merge G International and
Global eXchange Services within the next six months. Francisco Partners
made this important announcement in a press release on October 21, 2004.

Upon completion of the anticipated merger, the combined company will
immediately become one of the world's leading B2B integration service
providers. Together, we will serve over 40,000 businesses worldwide,
including approximately 70 percent of the Fortune 500. We expect our
customers will realize many benefits from the combination including,
Gaining from the skills of over 200 highly experienced employees
transitioning from IBM to GXS;
Using our expanded presence in the United States, United Kingdom and
Japan to extend and streamline electronic trading relationships in those
regions;
More effectively reaching trading partners in Latin America, with our
new location in Sao Paulo, Brazil;
Drawing upon our extensive industry knowledge in Automotive, Consumer
Packaged Goods, Financial Services, High-Technology and Retail.

Our significant global presence will result in broader community enablement
reach and an increased ability to support unique local needs. This global
presence will benefit from our recently unveiled next-generation
integration services platform ? GXS's Trading Grid(superscript: SM).
Trading Grid is a feature-rich integration services infrastructure that
does more than simply move data, it manages business processes. We believe
Trading Grid demonstrates our commitment to offering new levels of
infrastructure flexibility and providing customers an important new
strategic approach to integration.

The anticipated merger will be another in a series of exciting
transformational steps for GXS. I'd like to thank you for your business and
assure you that your satisfaction is our number one priority.

I've not heard anything from IBM regarding this acquisition however or how
it will effect existing IBM T/P setups.

Mary Kline

I saw a press release that came out on October 21st, that IBM is
selling their EDI services to Francisco Partners, the majority owner
of GXS. The announcement said that IBM EDI Services will be merged
with their GXS service within six months of the acquistion. Does
anyone know what will be the impact to the IBM Information Exchange
service and the customers that use it?

Thanks.
