Subject: Processing EDI Documents into XML with Python
Thanks to Robin Cover, I've been informed of the availability of
"Processing EDI Documents into XML with Python," by Jeremy Jones, at
http://www.devx.com/enterprise/Article/26854. Jones lists the usual pros
and cons of building it yerself, though we could have told him that
adding the following (disadvantage) was unnecessary:

"While you can find excellent help from the Python community, no
specific vendor will be available to help you solve problems"

Judging from recent EDI-L postings, Gentran:Server and TLE don't have
vendor support, either.

You can view Robin Cover's "Cover Pages" at http://xml.coverpages.org/.
