Come on, William, I'm sure you know the answer to your implied question as
well as I do. I'm not going to play this game with you ;^)

Yes, ANSI ASC X12 (and UN/CEFACT, for that matter) are different
organizations with different procedures, history, mission, and inertia to
overcome than the OASIS UBL TC. Don't ask me to explain that or apologize
for it. And, no, the XML e-business standards ship has definitely *not*
sailed as far as X12 is concerned. There are no examples of CICA-based XML
messages yet for public review or use. The situation is the same for
UN/CEFACT, so far as I know. But, both organizations are finally
developing messages. I'm confident that schema will be available
relatively soon. Exactly when I can't say.
