Extol Integrator
All-
I am writing to solicit responses from users of the MS Win 2000 (NT) version
of Extol. While the responses from the AS/400 based product have been
exemplary, I have seen none about the Win 2000 version.
The facts are the operating system and database used are different. And,
the necessity to connect an EDI system to a separate business application
exists.
Users, please provide us your comments.

We use EXTOL on the AS400. The product is GREAT. It is a very powerful
tool. Their mapping functions are easy to use, and quick. From the Auto
mapper to making a copy to tweak for a trading partner to version
conversion, all mapping functions are easy to use. Trading partner set up
is a snap. I can have a new trading partner set up in about 15 minutes
(including approving with our van). They have built in functionality for
XML, Email, etc. and are responsive to changes that the customers want to
see in the translator. (They were one of the participants of the ebXML
demonstration at the DISA Conference last spring) Their customer
education/tech support is Second to NONE. They offer beginning and advanced
classes on the Integrator, a Annual User Conference, and Tech Support is
available either via phone or the Web. The ability of having a electronic
support session on your box is very useful. I have met/had contact with
many members of the staff, and all are knowledgeable about the product. As
I stated, we work on the AS400 platform, but from the demo's that I have
seen, the NT platform is just as functional and reliable.

Hi group...
Yesterday I asked you all for some feedback regarding Peregrine tech
support. Thank you to anyone who responded, you have been a valuable tool in
my decision making process.
The other product that we are considering is Extol Integrator (specifically
the NT product). I was hoping to get some feedback from anyone out there who
is using that product (or their AS400 product), and what your experiences
have been, both with the product and the tech support (positive or
negative).
