Featuring Greg Parrott of Synapse Internet Services and Jon Ramer of
SmartChannel in a tag-team presentation.
SynapseISG, an e-business and digital branding consultant are joined by
SmartChannels, creators of a new system for the efficient publication of
highly personalized web content and services will discuss the challenges and
opportunities for small and mid-sized businesses. What are some alternatives to
corporate portals? Can an enterprise benefit from the flexibility of small and
mid-market solutions? How does personal Web
publishing or relevant personalized content enhance EC?
Greg Parrott will discuss: What ...are the challenges, ...are the
alternatives? When...you recognize a need, ...you're evaluating options and
selecting a solution?
Jon Ramer will discuss: Where...is this market going, ...is it today? How...do
these technologies work, ...do you evaluate success and benefits?

Biographies
Jon Ramer is the Founder, Chief Strategic Officer, and Director of
SmartChannels. Jon founded SmartChannels in late 1997 around his vision of
creating a technology-based service company to improve the flow of information
between employers, employees, and benefits providers. Prior to this, Jon was a
founder of ELF Technologies (Issaquah WA), a technology-based service company
that helps law firms and insurance companies manage the flow of information
between themselves.
Greg Parrott is Managing Director of Synapse Internet Services Group, a member
of the Synapse Global Marketing Resources, Inc. network of
companies, providing e-business solutions that get real business results. Since
1989 Greg has delivered inspiration and insight to established and emerging
businesses and organizations looking to leverage interactivity and the Internet.
He has helped to shape and direct some of the most recognized and respected
companies and brands, both domestically and internationally.
Additionally, Greg has developed award-winning interactive products, re-staged
high-tech business models, and launched category-leading companies and new
ventures. He has strong intellectual interest in the human experience of new
technologies and their potential impact on marketplaces. Greg holds an MFA in
Visual Information Arts with a focus on Cognitive Interface Design from Memphis
College of Art, a BA in Marketing/Design from University of Arkansas and has
also studied distance collaboration for design at M.I.T. in Cambridge. He has
written articles for local and national publications on the subject of branding,
interactive experience design and the changing role of marketing in an online
environment.

PARKING: Free Parking is available at the College Club itself. The
parking garage entrance is located 30 feet ahead on the left after crossing
Madison on 5th Avenue. Once inside the parking garage just take the elevator
up to the College Club and come into the main lounge.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: If Northbound on I-5, take the Madison St. exit
and turn left on Madison St. to 5th Ave, then turn left on 5th Ave, 30 feet
ahead on the left is the entrance to the College Club Garage. If Southbound
on I-5, use the Union St. exit and turn left on to 5th Ave, then proceed
past Madison; 30 feet after crossing Madison, on the left, is the entrance
to the College Club Garage.
