Geez! Why do I have the feeling that when I get back to work on Monday,
there's going to be over 200 emails waiting for me discussing nothing
relevant, but discussing whether we should or should not discuss non-EDI
related topics???????

When Mr. Drunkenmiller created this group and sent out an email to the EDI
list, he specifically said the following (I'm copying this from his email):

" Although the list is specifically for discussing EDI and related topics,
I have no specific guidelines for the list or restrictions on postings
other than you must abide by Yahoo!'s guidelines as listed at:
http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/

I certainly will not get on your case for posting diatribes about
America's great tragedy. In fact I welcome them! We must work through
this together with friends, family, AND colleagues. "

Nuff said.

Steve:

EDI-L is gone because of these discussions, edi or non-edi, that
forum is no longer available.

I believe most everyone here signed up for EDI discussions because we
lost our valuable resource.

It is so simple to discuss non-edi in non-edi forums, and there are
so many of them. Why do we need to do this here?

The past strong focus of EDI-L has made it a standout among
professional discussion lists of all types. It would be a shame for
this great industry tool to be lost to a terrorist act.

I am sure that over time the focus will come back on this list;
however, how many valuable colleagues will we lose forever from this
forum? It would be a sad loss to the industry.

I've set up the forum non-edi-l for anyone who cares to use it:
