Curtis-

Translation objects for either the Sterling Commerce Gentran X12 EDI system
or the Web:Suite Active X interfaces are available from Sterling, ourselves,
and other firms.

My suggestion is to start with a generic, with the expectation of
customizing it to achieve greater cost reduction. Fortunately the
customization is readily moved to other customers within the same industry.

Best wishes,

-Darcy

Hi,

Anyone know of companies that have libraries of translation objects
for Gentran (Windows) available for purchase? Specifically
interested in Walmart (4030 compliant). Also, being rather new to
this, are translation objects rather generic or do they always have
to be customized for our company specifically? In other words, I
know they would be different depending on the vendor we are dealing
with, but would we be able to buy a translation object and use it as
is? Thanks for any comments or assistance.
