The smoke signals can be colored to match the sky. This is especially useful
at dusk or dawn, when the apparent sky color changes from east to west.
This is known as SSL (Smoke Schema Lighting).

Encrypted signals can also be sent if you have exchanged the appropriate
colored sunglasses. This technique is know as PKI (Public Keratic
Infrastructure).
