Subject: Cost of Manually Processing Documents - documented or perceived
Greetings,

I'm trying to understand the actual (hard & soft) costs of manaully
processing documents...

For example:
What does it cost to process a PO received via fax or mail and re-
keying into the applicable systems?
What does it cost to print-out and mail an invoice to a customer?

I'm hoping to capture the soft costs as well.... cost of errors,
time, etc.

Can anyone site some market research or other sources that may be
useful?

Has anyone done their own study (formal or informal) on this that
they'd be able/willing to share?

I've heard various number from $25 to as much as $150 per
transaction, and would be interested in whether those here feel that
this is realistic.

Thanks in advance for your anticipated assistance.
