Susan
Is it an 820 that you are receiving via FTP?
If so, can't you load it in your inbound queue and have the mapper
process it just as it did when it came from the VAN.
If it's a flat file, don't you want to just write it to your application
files.
I don't know what kind of translation software you are using.

transactions

Hello Group,

Currently working on a project to take a file sent by the bank via ftp &
translating it for application processing. Because the file contains
the
different transactions I am unsure on how to accomplish this. We are
already set up and receiving the 820, however to save money they want to
stop receiving through a VAN.

I'm not sure if this is the right approach but I'm trying to take the
file
and translate it to a standard. Defined a standard and ADF based on the
data needed from the file and then want to translate it to an
application.
It's just not working very smoothly. I'm not sure what I'm not doing or
overlooking. Honestly I'm not sure if this is the right approach.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks so much!
