RE: Upgrading Gentran from 6.0 to 6.3
I wasn't plugged into the actual process but it seems to have gone without a
hitch. We upgraded each of our test and production environments separately,
of course, with a suitable shakeout period. No unpleasant surprises or
gotchas.
The analyst doing the work left a huge box of documentation which I can go
through if you need, but it was a rather straightforward install.

Yes they are using Gentran: Basic for mainframe OS. I am waiting to get
information from Sterling so I am not sure yet if we will need to upgrade to
6.2 then 6.3 or if we can go straight to 6.3. I am hoping they have things
set up correctly and we can go straight to 6.3. Still any info that you can
pass on would be helpful. Any heads up type of things or funky things that
may happen if not looking for them.
