We run GT AND GE's Desktop EDI. Our only purpose in doing so is to enable us
to use the old GE ASN plus software in our shipping dept. The GE products
have their own special file formats to integrate, so we just use the desktop
package as a conduit to move raw edi to ASN plus from Gentran, which handles
all the other data and communications. It's a mess, but it works for now...
This is why we're looking for a better way to handle ASNs! :)

Do you folks on this group have any idea how common it is to for
companies to run more than one translation package for EDI? If so, any
insight into which ones and why they are doing this would be
