Why use both? Why not? Unless you are Wal*Mart, the greater your
flexibility, the higher percentage of your business information can be moved
electronically.

Some of our Trading Partners do not have AS2 capability. Some freak out at
paying VAN charges. Some are sophisticated EDI users, others are more
high-maintenance.

I evaluated my TPs as follows:
1) Are they low-maintenance people?
2) Do we trade a high volume of data?
3) DO they have ASx capability?

Three yeses means they are on my 'A' list for implementation. (I don't have
a 'B' or 'C' list at this time.)

Hello All

I'm looking for input on your opinions and experiences in using VANs
and AS2.

Why do you choose one over the other, or use both? And if you are
using both, how do you determine which customers / suppliers to put on
what transport?

And while I'm asking, how do you think the VANs will survive IF the
market moves away from the services the VANs provide?

Thanks in advance for your input.
