" .. the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has instructed FIs to
discontinue sending SPRs to providers, billing
agents, clearinghouses, or other entities representing providers, that have
received electronic remittance advices (ERAs) for at
least 30 days, effective July 1, 2005....

As of August 5th, 2005, Medicare Part A providers who receive Electronic
Remittance Advice will no longer receive printed remittance
reports, unless they only began receiving Electronic Remittance Advice since
July 5, 2005.
If your current remittance reporting software does less than you need or you'd
like to use ONE software package for ALL remittance
