Travel to their location. Though to some it may appear
as though it's little more than a junket, trust me,
the time spent with direct face to face discussion and
collaboration is incredibly valuable. The Asian
technical community is most welcoming and highly EDI
savvy. In fact, the liklihood is that they will
perhaps accommodate your EDI program requirements
before you are ready to engage in any information
exchange.
Oh, and as far as feedback to your direct inquiries,
Customs does a significant amount of EDIFACT data
exchange with Asian entities, both private and
government.
