Subject: Relationship between N4 Code and Product UPC Code
Hi folks,

I posted a similar question awhile back and received no responses. Let me
try it one more time and ask it a bit differently.

Anyone out there using an "N4" code (for National Drug Code in 5-4-2
format) in DE 235 in the PO1 segment of an X12 850 or IT1 of an 810? If
you are, what's the relationship between this code and the product UPC in
1-5-5 format. Seems to me that the N4 code ought to be the right most 10
digits, plus the check digit, but I have customers who have different ideas
and I can't find a definitive reference to resolve the confusion.

Thanks,

Mike
