RE: <SALES>: webMethods vs. GIS

Hi Jeff,
Jeff: It appears that article was written by Seeburger. If it truly was an
external article, then it would have mentioned more than one translator.
The whitepaper was written by Axel Angeli, a well known and respected
independent Netweaver Consultant in Europe (www.logosworld.com) with
Lynton Grice, an application developer contracted to Daimler
Chrysler. If you refer to page 47, both of their introductions are
there as well as Lynton's email address. The reason we are so excited
about this evaluation is that it was unsolicited and NOT sponsored by
Seeburger.
In the paper they discuss what you need to evaluate to make your own
decision, the strengths and weaknesses of IBM, Microsoft and Oracle
generic integration suites. They specifically note WBI, XI, Biztalk
and Seeburger in their technology stack options.
The project was to determine the best solution for their customer
(Daimler), when it was time to evaluate Seeburger they came in with a
clear intent to "break" Seeburger BIS as an EAI / B2B solution for
R/3. Not only did it work, it worked well through all the performance tests.
As they say on page 42 "it eventually became a "no contest" as to
what strategic integration product we should choose for our SAP
environment." They did evaluate other solutions, they shortlisted
based upon their existing environment and needs. Please contact
Lynton for more details.
I appreciate there is a strong Gentran following in the US market but
there are other options and I am passionate about Seeburger because
the technology works!
Best Regards,
James Hatcher
