RE: Busines process question - EDI & firewalls
This definitely seems as a process issue. This task shouldn't take that
long to complete. We also have to go through the change control
approval, etc., but it takes only 24 hours to get it done.

Hi group,
The security within our organization is tightly governed that it seems
to take too long to set up the firewall when we onboard a new Trading
Partner. It's unclear to me if we have process or technical issues.
When we set up a new TP, our EDI department submits a request to
security and it takes sometimes as long as a week to turn that around.
Does it take others that long? What is your expected turnaround? How
quickly is this done at other organizations?
