May I point out that this is yet another example of misunderstood business
communication, even though I thought I was being very clear in what I was
saying. But to clarify (I hope the obvious for some), I am not advocating
LNT's position. I only offered a different way that they could phrase it.

Personally, I think their position is unreasonable. If I were a supplier I
would probably jack up my price to them, reduce their discount, or find
some other way to push the cost back to them.
