RE: Gentran for Unix String Manipulation
I doubt you will be able to do it natively within Gentran. You can, of
course, simply use a 'tr' command in Unix... but you need to take my advice
with a grain of salt as I've only ever used the Mentor translator, never the
AI version.

Subject: [EDI-L] Gentran for Unix String Manipulation
Hi everyone, first time poster here.
I'm working on a Unix platform version 5.0 of Gentran AI. I'm trying
to change a text string to uppercase and I just can't seem to find out
how to do it. I'm fairly new to Gentran, but I assume there would be
an "UPPER" statement of some sort.
Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks!!
Shannon
