Subject: EDI 940 Doc Question - N1 Segment - to DIR or not to DIR
Hi All,

As I stated before we are just beginning to use the 940 document. I
have included an actual 940 generated by us.

My new question is this - in the case of a Ship to Store - does
anyone know if it is mandatory to ALSO send the N1*DIR*(some DC)
segment in addition to sending the N1*ST*(some store) segment?

In other words if I am sending to a store should I send two N1
segments - one for the store and one for the DC address?

Also - if it is ONLY going to the DC should both N1*ST and N1*DIR be
sent?

Thanks in advance,

Kathy
