RE: (OFF TOPIC) EDI Pet (Peeve) Phrases
Well, I happen to be in one of those "nightmarish 5yr.ERP implementations",
and this is a huge waste of resourses..both human and financial. We have
three...Three..persons actively working on the project in our spare time,
myself included. I handle my pieces (anything EDI) and the rest handle the
rest. The company will not bite the bullet and hire a consultant...I can't
even get them to see my point of upgrading Gentran: Director to get the
mapping integrator. Why pay $600 for a new print map, when I can do it
in-house and it will cost much less and be installed same day? Of course,
I'm just venting.
