Re: Is anybody using Oracle apps and doing EDI, but not using Oracle's EDI gateway?
We are using ORACLE Applications and have implemented several
inbound/outbound EDI documents,
without the use of ORACLE's EDI Gateway. Most of the programs (developed
in-house), that interface
with our EDI translator, are written in PRO-C. As we are an HP/UNIX
environment, we also use a
software scheduler called "APPWORX"; this facilitates the process to
generate EDI documents,
schedule events within our EDI translator (transmit) and to generate email
notifications (to the "end-user"
as well as the EDI staff); automatically.
