Richard,
I think disallowing attachments is a good thing.
However, using the files section or database section, etc. then **requires**
one to have a Yahoo ID....which is a barrier to participation.....unless I'm
incorrect and anyone can access these sections **without** having a Yahoo
ID.
This whole thing is starting to get very complicated and could ultimately
become more effort than it might be worth. I would not like to see that
happen.

I have set the list not to allow attachments because of virus concerns.
You can add files to the files section or use the database or the
bookmark feature at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EDI-L to send
attachments.
