No, EDISoft is the whole enchilada. I've talked to GE & EDIsoft about the
switch.

Desktop EDI only performs the send/recv function. EDISoft is the software
that replaces ASN Desktop and ASN Plus.
As far as automatically importing and exporting, I don't think so. We
normally "flat file out" manually.

Does GXS Desktop EDI have any type of API that would allow an external
program to automatically send non-translated data to and receive
translated data from the application? If so, is it documented
somewhere? I do not have access to the app myself, I'm trying to help
a customer that is using Desktop EDI (ver. 3.5.0.6) and as I
understand it, GXS is not being very helpful (or they are asking the
wrong people at GXS)...
