Great Plains 8 - EDI Implementations

I have a client who is considering moving to Great Plains 8. Can anyone offer
any feedback on it's abilities? Likes and dislikes of the software? So far,
It's my understanding that Great Plains uses V-Sink for EDI translation in
conjunction with Gentran for communications only. Will Great Plains integrate
whith any other EDI Translator or is it set up to only be compatible with the
above as mentioned? Any information anyone can offer us on these products and
how they are used together is help full.
