It is in fact Motor version 1 release 8. This was how TDCC Published
the standards M was the Motor carrier Workbook, R was Rail etc. Each
workbook only contained the appropriate industry specific transactions.
When X12 started the full data dictionary were given to X12. For a number
of years X12 and TDCC co-existed using the same Segments, Elements etc.,
with data maintenance being co-ordinated between the TDCC SMAC and X12B
Technical Assessment. I was the person co-ordinating the dictionary
activity between both groups. I hope this helps.
