Alexis,

On the IT8 segment, neither the IT8-01 (Sales req.) and IT8-02 (Action Code)
have some kind of reference to split shipment dates.

You can do something much more simple. On your specs create a DTM loop with
required/cancel shipdates. Under the DTM loop you can put PO1 segments.

The PO1 segments are the most simple line item segments on the POs. This
will also give you the flexibility of attaching different types of
require/cancel dates.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Here is some example raw data:

PO HEADER
BEG*00*NE*02802405**20020415~
N1*VN*TEST SUPPLIER*ZZ*03804~
N3*P.O. BOX 200051*DEPT 100~

N3*227 FOREST AVE.*GLEN COVE SHOPPING CENTER~

Hello,

I need a PO to contain a flag that indicates split shipment is
acceptable for an order. In conjunction with that I need a way to
mark which items should be grouped together.
For example an order needs to indicate that line item 1 & line 2 must
be shipped together but line item 3 can go at any time.

Any thoughts ... I have looked into the IT8 segment is this an
appropriate usage?

Alexis
