Another common delimiter is the pipe "|", usually is coma, but pipe is the
second choice..

Can anyone recommend a good delimiter to use when importing EDI data
into text files? I know that comma delimited files are very common in
text files, but it is very possible that commas could actually be used
in the EDI data. I was thinking of using the tab, or '~' as a
delimiter. I want to use something that pretty much any PC application
will be able to interpret. Any suggestions are appreciated.
