RE: Gartner's view of Golden Gate Capital acquiring Harbinger unit

Not a lot of revealing information in this article. I would assume GGC
will try to gain some market momentum and take it public. It is
probably making a few customers anxious about having a key vendor bought
and sold like this.
Some people may remember SBC's purchase of Sterling Commerce but at the
time SBC was awash in cash which helped mitigate most concerns.
I am surprised the Gartner article did not discuss the pro's and con's
of why a competitor did not buy Harbinger to gain more market share in a
market that is pretty congested with vendors right now.
