Bonjour everyone,
We have a customer asking us to send an 855 (Purchase Order Acknowledgment)
for each PO we will be receiving from them.
This transaction is new for us & we would like to know a little more how
it's being used.
I have a few questions that I would like to address to the group;
* Suppliers side:
* When you receive a PO, can you describe briefly the steps that your
organization as to follow to generate the 855?
* When you send the 855, do you need a confirmation from the customer
before you ship the goods?
* Is this transaction used only to inform your customer about the
quantity of the items shipped as well as the price and delivery date?
* When the customer receive your 855, can they cancel the original PO?
* Customer side:
* When you receive the 855, can you describe briefly the actions
generated by this transaction in your business processes?
* What do you do with the information contained in the 855?
* Based on the info received in the 855, can you cancel your original
PO?
When answering, please specify if you are acting like a customer or a
supplier.
Thanks in advance for the time you will put to give me this information.
