Bob,

The 811 was originally developed for use in the telecommunications industry.
The TCIF developed an implementation guide for ther 811, which I believe can
be found on the web. This work is now sponsored by the Alliance for
Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). I believe you can find the
TCIF guidelines at http://www.atis.org/atis/tcif/.

Good luck.

Good Afternoon,
I am new to this EDI List and was wondering if there is literature
around that could help me in mapping an 811 Document? I am new to the 811
document and had a class at Sterling Commerce on how to map with 856's. My
mapping experience includes 850, 855, 810, 820, 864 documents. Any help in
this area would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
