RE: Beginner in Mapping - 811 Document

Bob,
The wireless industry has been slow with a few exceptions to adopt EDI
billing. I would be interested as to what is driving Arch into doing
EDI consolidated invoicing (811). The EDI Telecommunications Billing
(ETB) group is a committee under the Telecommunications Industry Forum
(TCIF) which is sponsored by ATIS (www.atis.com). ETB is the
organization that sets standards for the land line EDI consolidated
invoice transaction. It is a fairly complex transaction and most
wired/wireless carriers that use it have their own flavors.
You might look at the ETB web sight for guidance and look at a ILEC
implementation as well.

Subject: [EDI-L] Beginner in Mapping - 811 Document
Good Afternoon,
I am new to this EDI List and was wondering if there is literature
around that could help me in mapping an 811 Document? I am new to the
811
document and had a class at Sterling Commerce on how to map with 856's.
My
mapping experience includes 850, 855, 810, 820, 864 documents. Any help
in
this area would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Bob Reed
