RE: Spec Builder

Joanne,
You should take a look at our product Edifix. As I mentioned in an
earlier email we have extensive auto industry experience (AIAG). You
can download a demo or I can send you a CD. Please contact me offline
for more information.

Great to hear this as we are considering buying the Enterprise addition.
I've just requested a quote from Edifecs.
Darren, if you contact EDIFECS they may provide you with a licence key
for
an evaluation version of the product. This will give you a better idea
of
what the tool is capable of.

We have used the full Specbuilder version and found it very useful.
Some of the features:
You can quickly define message implementation guidelines and use these
to
generate documentation, e.g. html branching diagrams with drill-down
functions, very nice looking Word-documentation etc.
Moreover, using the export functions it's possible to export these
guidelines into XML Schemas, SEF, gXML and many vendors proprietary
formats.
It's possible to compare the differences between two implementation
guidelines.
It's also possible to generate test files based on an implementation
guideline or a standard.
With best regards
Anders Tholen

Has anyone used the package Spec Builder from EDIFECS and if so how
well has it worked for you? I downloaded the trial version to test
out from http://www.edifecs.com which has most of the features we
need disabled. I'd like to hear any user experiences with the full
version.
Thanks,
